We tried reaching out to the customer regarding this complaint but unfortunately, we never received a response. We spoke with the authorized service agent in Sartell, MN., who has a record of servicing this customer in 2013 for a filter change. The original distributor in Sartell, Lake Country RainSoft, was there from 2002-2014, at which time the owner retired and the service was taken over by Mid-State RainSoft. At this time, we are trying to determine if some other company has been servicing this system.

Regarding the factory warranty, it has never included service and labor fees. In addition, anyone can service RainSoft equipment; although, using parts that are not RainSoft will void the warranty. If you have any questions regarding this post or any other, please contact us at

We purchased this system with a lifetime warranty that was promised to cover maintenance for life too. Within a year of the purchase, we called the company and they had 'went out of business' and 'a person now has exclusive maintenance rights'.

We paid big bucks several times to have 'this guy' come to 'fix' the troubles only to have it not work soon after!!! This was WAY too expensive of purchase!! I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT OR COMPANY!! EVER!!!

WAY TOO MUCH $$$ spent on this!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! SHame on this company for such a pour product no wonder they are out if business !!!

Can't get ours fixed!! Sad customer /family here!!
